Let’s Get Going Smoothie

What You Need:

  • ½ C milk
  • ½ C almonds
  • 1 banana, peeled and sliced
  • 1 TBSP honey
  • 2 TBSP vanilla yogurt
  • 1/8 tsp. vanilla extract
  • Pinch of nutmeg
  • 4 ice cubes

How to Make It:

  1. Pour the milk into the blender.
  2. Add the almonds, banana, honey, yogurt and extract.
  3. Sprinkle in the nutmeg.
  4. Add the ice cubes.
  5. Blend on high until frothy.

This is a great get me started in the morning smoothie.  Replace the banana with a peach and the vanilla extract with almond extract to make a slightly different taste.  If you aren’t partial to nutmeg try cinnamon instead.
