Ginger Root Smoothie

This is a good smoothie for a queasy tummy.
Drink it slowly.

What you need:
1 apple, cored, peeled, and sliced
1 lemon, peeled and seeded
1/2 cups filtered water
1/2 cups ice
1 (2‐inch) piece fresh *ginger root, peeled and crushed

How to make it:

Blend all ingredients until smooth.

*Ginger, a knobby root that is used as a a seasoning and flavoring for sweetening in cakes, cookies, breads, and beverages  and used heavily in Asian cooking.  Ginger is an excellent natural remedy for nausea, motion sickness, morning sickness and general stomach upset.




Tropical Green Smoothie

What You Need:

  • 1 banana, peeled and sliced
  • 1/2  Cup pineapple chunks (frozen or fresh)
  • 1/2 Cup Mango (frozen or fresh)
  • 1-1/2 cups of spinach leaves
  • 4 ice cubes
  • 1/2 cup of water

How to Make It:

  1. Place the banana, pineapple, mango and spinach together in the blender.
  2. Pour in the water.
  3. Place the ice cubes on top.
  4. Cover and blend on high until smooth.

Getting 3 fruits and your spinach in with this one delicious drink can’t get any easier!




Thanksgiving Smoothie

What You Need:

  • 1 banana, peeled and sliced
  • ¼ C pumpkin
  • 1 C milk
  • ¼ tsp. pumpkin pie spice
  • 2 TBSP maple syrup
  • 4 ice cubes

How to Make It:

  1. Place the banana and the pumpkin together in the blender.
  2. Pour in the milk.
  3. Add the pie spice and maple syrup.
  4. Place the ice cubes on top.
  5. Cover and blend on high until smooth.

Everybody likes pumpkin pie.  Why wait until Thanksgiving to have that special treat.  Top with a little whipped topping and you’ll get that warm Thanksgiving feeling from head to toe.
